The Campaign for Middlesbrough's first female statue
The Eighth Plinth campaign will see the first female statue erected in Middlesbrough. A public vote chose Ellen Wilkinson MP from a shortlist of six women. Details of the shortlisted women can be found on The Shortlist section of this website. Fundraising is now underway for the statue.
